Vickie died January 12, 1990 in Heflin, Webster Parish, LA. Obit - Mrs. Vicky Franklin Mrs. Vicky Franklin of heflin died Friday, January 12 at the Highland Hospital in Shreveport ater a long fight against cancer. She was 34. Funeral services are scheduled for today (Sunday Jan. 14) at 2 p. m. i the Bistineau Baptist Church with Bros. Shannon O'Glee and Tim Everett officiating. burial will follow in the Bistineau Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home. A native of natchez, Miss., Mrs Franklin had resided in Heflin since 1973. She was a member of the Bistineau Baptist Church and was employed at Lakeshore Small Loans. She is survived by her husband. Randy Franklin of Heflin; her mother, Laverlan Desoto of Minden, her maternal grandmother, Sadie Wallace of Minden and her paternal grandmother Blanche DeSoto, also of Minden; a son, James Mark Franklin of Heflin; a sister Jean Austin of Dallas, Tex.; two brothers Billy R. DeSoto of Athens and David E. Desoto of Dallas. Pallbearers will be Dale Hutchins, Dr. Forman Seid, Pete Henderson, Roy Regan, Chuck Bennet, and Larry Wilson.
