Robert died February 7, 2006 in Superior, Nuckolls Co., NE. Obit: Robert Franklin Allgood, the son of Ernie and Wilma (Neal) Allgood, was born on January 14, 1936 near Peru. He died on February 7, 2006 at the Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior at the age of 70 years, and 25 days. Robert was one of 11 children. He attended schools in Peru, living with his aunt and uncle from the age of 14 until his marriage. He was a dragline operator for many lakes and canals in Nebraska and Kansas. He was united in marriage to Joyce Montgomery on January 20, 1957 at the United Methodist Church in Superior. This union was blessed with four children. He was baptized by Rev. Robert Wigert in 1959. Robert attended the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center in Grand Island and also Air Conditioning and Refrigeration School at the Technical College in Beloit, Kansas. Robert had a 27 year career with the Superior Police Department, including 20-1/2 years as the Chief of Police and four years as Assistant Police Chief. He also did refrigeration repair part time. Robert and Joyce were the managers for the Simic Skating Rink for 10 years. Robert truly enjoyed interacting with the children. A member of the NRA, he liked to shoot guns, fish and hunt. He was preceded in death by his parents; twin son, Danny; two brothers, Wayne and Edward; and three sisters, Jean Swartz, Arlene Hurst, and Alice Hanika; and mother and father-in-laws, John and Vivian Montgomery. Survivors include his wife, Joyce; daughters: Cindy Lamb and husband Greg of Lincoln, and Lori Carroll and husband Steve of Hastings; son Dave and wife Jill of Superior; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; four brothers: Harold and wife Doris of Kingland, Texas; Lee and wife Charlene of Las Vegas, Nevada; Bill and wife Cindy of Sutherland; and Gary and wife Sharon of Pawnee City; one sister, Pauline Beauchamp of O'Neill; a sister-in-law, Annette Allgood of Toledo, Ohio; Aunt Mert Jennings, who he lived with prior to his marriage; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 11 at the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, with Pastor Dorthea Fairbanks officiating. Music sung by Darrel Miller with Lynn Wilton as organist. Pallbearers were Perry Freeman, Jim Marr, Gary D. Keeling, Tom Johnson, John Disney, Jim Rust, Darrel Miller and Brad Baker. Honorary pallbearers were his grandchildren: Nick Clark, Andy Clark, Mandy Falk, Tony Falk, Harley Allgood, Daniel Allgood, Aaron Allgood, Korey Lamb, Maddie Lamb, Jarad Kinyoun and Jena Kinyoun. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Superior. Megrue-Price Funeral Home of Superior, Nebraska was in charge of the arrangements.

He married Mina Joyce Montgomery January 20, 1957 in Superior, Nuckolls Co., NE. Mina was born March 28, 1937 in Montrose, Jewel Co., KS. Mina was the daughter of John Montgomery and Vivian Clark. Mina died December 7, 2016 in Lincoln, Lancaster Co., NE. OBIT: Mina Joyce Allgood, the daughter of John and Vivian (Clark) Montgomery, was born on March 28, 1937 at Montrose, Kansas. She passed away on December 7, 2016 in Lincoln, Nebraska at Tabitha at Williamsburg - Seagren House at the age of 79 years, 8 months, 9 days. Joyce attended school in Lovewell, Kansas and Superior, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Robert Allgood on January 20, 1957 at the United Methodist Church in Superior. This union was blessed with 4 children.

Joyce was a member of the Elks Lodge in Superior, was a former Boy Scout Leader, and secretary of a Bowling League. She enjoyed hunting and fishing, her Yorkie dogs, crocheting, Coca-Cola and collecting angels. Robert and Joyce were the managers for the Simic Skating Rink for 10 years, and they both truly enjoyed interacting with the children that came to skate. She previously was employed at KRFS, Dr. Weiler, and Reinke’s, and together with Bob they owned/operated Superior Refrigeration.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, twin son, Danny; brother, Dallas Montgomery; and a sister, Joan Pevler

Survivors include daughters, Cindy Lamb and husband Greg of Lincoln, Nebraska and Lori Carroll and husband Steve of Hastings, Nebraska; and son, Dave and wife Jill of Superior, Nebraska; grandchildren, Mandy Falk, Nick and Andy Clark; Harley, Daniel and Aaron Allgood; Korey and Maddie Lamb and Jarad and Jena Kinyoun; 14 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Dylan, Breanna, Clara, Trevyn, Jaxtyn, Austyn, Zayn and Eva Falk, Jake Allgood, Isabel and Emma Clark, Aubrey and Samantha Evans: one brother, Rex Montgomery and wife Janice of Howard, Colorado and two sisters, Cheryl Williams and husband Darcy and Donna Doan and husband Bill all of El Dorado, Kansas along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Robert Franklin Allgood and Mina Joyce Montgomery had the following children:
