OBIT: Vernon "Rocko" Allgood Sept. 10, 1957-Jan. 22, 2015 Mr. Vernon "Rocko" Allgood, 57, of Paradise Lane passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. He was born September 10, 1957 to Roxie Mabelle Childress Allgood. Mr. Allgood worked for several years with Reavis Welding and Fabricating, loved hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He was also of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Allgood was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Dale Weaver. Surviving are his two sons, Michael Allgood and wife, Kerry, of Hamptonville, Brian Allgood of Hamptonville; his mother, Roxie C. Allgood of Hamptonville; five grandchildren, Amber Allgood, Brandon Allgood, Adrienne Steele, Logan Boyer, Sawyer Allgood; two sisters; and five brothers. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00p.m., Sunday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the Gentry Family Chapel. Interment will be in Yadkin Memorial Gardens.
