Elizabeth died March 10, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Co., OK. OBIT: Oleta went home to be with the Lord on March 10, 2014 just a few hours after the birth of her 10th great-grandchild.
Diagnosed with breast cancer in 1999 she was a warrior. She never complained and often left Chemo treatment and went straight to visit someone else who was sick. Suffering a Heart attack in Feb, 2013 she was placed on hospice and unable to walk. Her determination kept her going and by June 27, 2013 she was walking and surprised everyone at her daughters wedding and then attended a family reunion in July.
She was a "Grandma" to generations of neighboring children. Always packing her car full of kids to take to the lake or a circus. She raised 4 of her grandchildren and always had room for one more if you needed a place to stay. Oleta was dedicated to her family and would drive hundreds of miles to be there for special events or if someone was sick. She was probably there for every family members birth dating back to the 1970's when she learn to drive a car.
Born in Greer county to William and Angeline Henson, the tenth child out of eleven. She was always known as Dolly. A nickname given to her by her big brother Willy. She was a born again Christian and a member of McKinley Ave Baptist Church for many years.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years; Carl Shoopman, two sons; Edward Ray Shoopman and Tommy Shoopman, one daughter; Donna Shimabukuro, five grandchildren, dozens of adopted grandchildren and ten Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Debbie Bratcher; son, Bobby Shoopman and just 2 weeks earlier, her sister, Daisy Margaret Groseclose.
Services were held at First Assembly of God Church in Oklahoma City. (John M. Ireland Funeral Home, Moore.)
She married Carl Edward Shoopman 1958.

39141 ii. Debbie Ann Shoopman was born in Oklahoma City, Cleveland Co., OK January 6, 1958. Debbie died November 4, 2009 in Hutchinson, Reno Co, KS. She married Kenneth L. Bratcher. Kenneth was born August 17, 1958. Kenneth died August 13, 2011 in TX.

39143 iv. Bobby Gene Shoopman was born in Girard, TX July 10, 1960. Bobby died April 15, 2002. OBIT: SHOOPMAN Bobby Gene, 41, passed on to be with his Lord, April 15, 2002. He was born July 10, 1960 in OKC. Bobby is survived by his parents, Carl and Oleta Shoopman of OKC, 2 sisters, Debbie Bratcher of Orlando, FL and Donna Carter of Las Vegas, NV, 2 brothers, Edward Ray Shoopman and Tommy Shoopman both of OKC, 5 nieces and nephews and countless friends and relatives. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all. Funeral Services will be 2:00 P. M., Friday, April 19, 2002 at McKinley Avenue Baptist Church with burial at Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City, OK.
