Ellsberry died May 25, 1897 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., MS. Ellsberry was buried in Newell-Britt Family Cemetery, Lincoln Co., MS.

Jeptha was born December 25, 1860. The 1900 census showed Jeptha born December 1859 Jeptha was the son of Mayberry Britt and Jane M. Case.

Jeptha died October 13, 1912. Jeptha was killed by a local resident. He was buried in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, Lincoln Co., MS.
