11964. Henry Oliver⁸ West (Wiliam Luther⁷, Sarah (Sally)⁶ Allgood, William A.⁵, Wyatt⁴, William (Pikey) Henry³, William John², Edward¹) was born in Lincoln Co., MS July 31, 1907. Henry died November 16, 1984 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., MS.

He married Nora Belle Newton January 10, 1937. Nora was born January 2, 1917 in Lincoln Co., MS. Nora was the daughter of Richard Elias Newton and Ruth (Roby) Elizabeth Allgood. Nora died July 23, 2009 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., MS. OBIT: Services for Nora Belle West, of Brookhaven, were 10 a.m. Saturday, July 25, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel on North Jackson Street with burial in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The Revs. Dr. David Sellers and Greg Warnock officiated.

Mrs. West, 91, died July 23, 2009, at Brook Manor Nursing Home in Brookhaven. She was born in Lincoln County on Jan. 2, 1918, to Elias Newton and Ruth Elizabeth Allgood Newton.

She was a salesperson and homemaker. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Henry Oliver West; her brothers, Richard, Marshall and Robert Newton; and her sisters, Annie Ruth Newton, Kathleen Driskill, Elsie Bowman and Ella Sandidge.

Survivors are her sons, Milton West and wife, Janie, and Doyle West and wife, Bessie, all of Brookhaven; her brothers, Roscoe Newton and Sherman Newton, both of Brookhaven; her six grandchildren, Rodney West, Roxanne Harper, Ruth Brister, Jon West, David West and Rachel West; and her seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Michael Newton, Tim Newton, Robert Newton Jr., Fred Johnson, Charles West and Mike Smith.

Henry Oliver West and Nora Belle Newton had the following children:
