Dorothy died January 30, 2006 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., MS. OBIT: Services for Dorothy Childress Bowman, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2 at Central Baptist Church with burial in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. Frank Rice and the Rev. Ryan Thurman will officiate services. Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service. Mrs. Bowman, 63, died Jan. 30, 2006, at King's Daughters Medical Center. She was born on Sept. 4, 1942, to Travis Childress and Johnnie Griffin Childress. She was a homemaker and member of Central Baptist Church. She graduated from Brookhaven High School in 1962. Preceding her in death were her parents. Survivors are her husband, Nolon Bowman; her sons, Greg Bowman and his wife, Debbie, and Steve Bowman, all of Brookhaven; her daughter, Cindy Townsend and her husband, Dwayne, ofBrookhaven; her sister, Brenda Green and her husband, Ralph D., of Brookhaven; and two grandchildren, Allie Claire Townsend and Johnny Lane Bowman, both of Brookhaven. Pallbearers will be Larry Callendar, Ed Ahrend, Ricky Allen, Ronnie Day, Richard Panzica and David Upchurch.

Dorothy Pearl Childress and William Nolan Bowman had the following children:
