OBIT: Hazel Ferguson, 99 of Pontiac, IL formerly of Emington, IL, died on Monday, March 7, 2011 at 3:50 PM at Tjardes Health Care Center in Pontiac. Her Funeral will be held on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 1:30 PM at Martin Funeral Home, Pontiac with Rev. Lucia Oerter of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. A visitation will be held from Noon until the hour of services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunny Slope Cemetery, Saunemin. Memorials in Hazels name may be left a the charity of the donors choice. Hazel was born on January 6, 1912 in Champaign County, IL a daughter of Robert and Mae (Howe) Allgood. She married Vewen Ferguson on January 18, 1936 in Pontiac, IL. He preceded her in death on December 25, 1994. She is survived by three sons: Roger (Constance) Ferguson of Champaign, IL, Bob (Roberta) Ferguson of Carthage, MO and Howard (Susan) Ferguson of Sun Lakes, AZ; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Mrs. Ferguson was educated in Livingston County, IL. She was a homemaker and an avid quilter. She and her husband farmed most of their life in Livingston County.
She married Vewen Dexter Ferguson January 18, 1936 in Pontiac, Livingston Co., IL. Vewen was born Septembe 6, 1912 in Monroe Co., KY. Vewen died December 25, 1994 in L.
