James died August 20, 1978 in Peoria, Peoria Co., IL. OBIT: James Everette ALLGOOD, 72, of 2906 W. Malone Avenue (Peoria), died at 4:45 a.m. yesterday (June 20, 1980) in Proctor Hospital (Peoria), where he was admitted August 08, 1980. An employee at Keystone Steel & Wire Company in Bartonville (Peoria County)for 30 years, last working in 1972, he was a member of Keystone's Retirees and 25 Year Club.
Born November 13, 1907, in Garfield, Kentucky (Breckinridge County), a son of Joseph Francis "Joel" ALLGOOD and Cornelia "Neelie" Whitworth ALLGOOD Laslie. He married Maxie Lou Osborne on February 25, 1928, in Hardinsburg, Kentucky. She died in Peoria October 09, 1962. He married Bernita Maurine Hobbs in Peoria on June 23, 1963. His parents, an infant daughter, Ruby, and a brother, William D.Allgood, also preceded him in death. Surviving are: his wife:Bernita ALLGOOD of Peoria, three daughters: Mrs. Leonard (Anna Mildred) Adams of Bartonville,Mrs. Allen (Linda)McClaskey of Jackson, Mississippi, Miss Ruth ALLGOOD of Peoria Heights (Peoria County),one son, Everette E. "Bud" ALLGOOD of Jackson, Mississippi,one sister,Mrs. Hugh (Eva Mae) Corley of Peoria, a half sister,: Mrs. Lowell (Catherine Laslie) Irelan of Pasadena, California, two half brothers,: Robert Laslie of Harned, Kentucky, Thomas Laslie of Hardinsburg, Kentucky, 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday (August 23, 1980) at Endsley & Hines Funeral Home, Bartonville, where visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery (Peoria). Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
He married twice. He married Marie Lou Osborne February 25, 1928. Marie was born Mach 23, 1911 in Rockvale, Brexkenridge Co., KY. Marie was the daughter of Charles A. Osborne and Lillie Jane DeWitt. Marie died October 9, 1962 in Peoria, Peoria Co., IL. OBIT: Funeral services for Mrs. Maxie ALLGOOD, 51, of 2906 W. Malone Avenue (Peoria), who died at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday (October 09, 1962) at St. Francis Hospital (Peoria), where she was admitted September 29, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday (October 13, 1962) at the Stone Mortuary, Bartonville (Peoria County). The Rev. Raymond Krutz of the Bartonville Methodist Church will officiate, and burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery (Peoria). Friends may call at the mortuary from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday.
Mrs. Allgood was born at Hardinsburg, Kentucky on March 23, 1911, a daughter of Mr. Charles A. Osborne of Cloverport, Kentucky, and the late Lillie DeWitt Osborne. She was married to James E. Allgood at Hardinsburg, Kentucky on February 25, 1928. Mrs. Allgood was preceded in death by her mother Lillie Jane DeWitt Osborne on July 01, 1930, a sister, Mary Frances Osborne on October 28, 1926, and an infant twin daughter, Ruby ALLGOOD on May 13, 1944. Surviving besides her father are:her husband, one son:Everette E. Allgood of Bartonville, three daughters: Mrs. Leonard (Anna Mildred) Adams of Bartonville,Mrs. Allen (Linda) McClaskey of Peoria, Miss Ruth ALLGOOD at home, one sister:Mrs. Hallie Dunn of Kentucky, two brothers: Mike Osborne of Owensboro, Kentucky, Wallace Osborne of Roswell, New Mexico and 14 grandchildren.
He married Bernita Maurine Hobbs June 23, 1963 in Peoria, Peoria Co., IL.

16526 v. Ruth (Susie) Allgood was born in Peoria, Peoria Co., IL May 13, 1944. Ruth died February 11, 1993 in Peoria, Peoria Co., IL. OBIT: Miss Ruth "Susie" Allgood, 48, of 926 Main Street (Peoria), died at 5:15 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 1993, at Methodist Medical Center (Peoria) after a short battle with cancer. She was born May 13, 1944 in Peoria to James Everette and Maxie Lou Osborne Allgood. Surviving are: two sisters: Mrs. Leonard (Anna Mildred) Adams of Bartonville Mrs. Allen (Linda) McClaskey of Jackson, Mississippi one brother: Everette E. "Bud" Allgood of Jackson, Mississippi and several nieces and nephews. Her parents and an infant twin sister preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday (February 15, 1993) at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. The Rev. Dr. Allen Newhall of the Bartonville United Methodist Church will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services at the chapel. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery (Peoria).
