OBIT: Funeral services for Audrey Nell Allgood Laird, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel with burial in Mt. Zion Church of Christ Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Visitation is Saturday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Laird, 73, died March 11, 2011, at her daughter's residence. She was born in Bogue Chitto on Sept. 13, 1937, to Robert E. Lee Allgood Sr. and Hazel Marie Durr Allgood.

She was a member of Easthaven Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her brother, Thomas Harold Smith.

Survivors are her sons, Tony Laird and wife, Susan, of Bogue Chitto, and Steve Laird and wife, Mirjam, of Fresno, Calif.; her daughter, Sheila Laird, of Byram; her brothers, Clayton Allgood and Robert Allgood Jr., both of Brookhaven, and Malcom Allgood, of Baton Rouge, La.; her sister, Janie Watts, of Baton Rouge; her grandchildren, Clancey Knight, of Bogue Chitto, Trent Laird, of Elkmont, Ala., Alana Royer, of San Diego, Calif., and Landon Laird, of Fresno; her great-grandchildren, Cole Lambert and Tucker Lambert, both of Bogue Chitto; her special friend, Carrie McGuffee; and many nieces and nephews.

She married (___) Laird.

Audrey Nell Allgood and (___) Laird had the following children:
