10591. Mary Elizabeth8 Allgood (George Everett7, John Wesley6, Robert Clark5, Presley4, William (Pikey) Henry3, William John2, Edward1) was born in Mattoon, Coles Co, IL February 15, 1936. Mary died October 6, 2007 in Montgomery, IL. OBIT: Mary E. Rogers, 71, of Montgomery, passed away at her home October 6, 2007 surrounded by her loving family. Mary was the tenth of eleven children born to Ebertt and Eva (Ford) Algood in Matoon, IL on February 15, 1936. She was a member of the New England Congregational Church in Aurora, an Auxiliary member of the Yorkville American Legion, VFW of Montgomery and Am Vets Post in Aurora. She was also a member of the Gold Star Wives of America. She is survived be her loving and devoted companion, Leonard Akins of Montgomery; her daughter, Deborah Rogers of Aurora; her sibling, Kathy Gryder of Aurora; two brother-in-laws, Alan Baughman of Sandwich and Bob Dunlap of Silver Springs, NV; sister-in-law, Dorothy Algood of Poplar Bluff, MO. She was also "Grandma Mary" to Corporal Phillip L. Akins of the United States Marine Corps, Andrew Akins and Peter Akins of St. Charles, Mallory Boynton and Taylor Boynton of Geneva. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry W. Rogers Jr; son, Gregory Rogers; sisters, Alta Lynk, Dorothy Ericson, June Baughman, Mickie Dunlap, Bernie Nichols; and a sister in infancy, Marjorie; brothers Frank Algood, George Algood, and Buryl Algood; a niece, Peggy Baughman; and a nephew, Tom Lynk. The family will be receiving guests Wednesday, October 10, 2007 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Dieterle Memorial Home 1120 S Broadway Ave., Montgomery, IL 60538. Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 11, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow and be at Lincoln Memorial Park.
She married Harry Weldon Rogers JR. Harry was born February 27, 1933 in Aurora, Kane Co., IL. Harry was the son of Harry Weldon Rogers and Linnie Rose (___). Harry died November 12,1978 in Chicago, Cook Co., IL.
Mary Elizabeth Allgood and Harry Weldon Rogers JR had the following children:
