Born September 25, 1926 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Essie Mae Sigmon Beard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Clifford Sigmon, Ray Beard; a sister, Regina Propst. She is survived by: Husband: Ernest “Mouse” Drum of the home Daughter: Judy Jones and husband Willie of Newton Granddaughter: Gina Auton and husband Jeff of Maiden A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Ruhama Baptist Church in Maiden with Rev. Larry Burns officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Burke Mortuary in Maiden. She married Ernest (Mouse) Clyde Drum April 4, 1947 in Newton, Catawba Co., NC. Ernest was born July 3, 1919 in Ironton, Lincoln Co., NC. Ernest was the son of John Phillip Drum and Bessie Frances Goodson. Ernest died October 12, 2007 in Maiden, Catawba Co., NC. Ernest and Edwina were buried at the Mt. Ruhama Baptist Church Cemetery, Catawba County, North Carolina
