Mary died February 22, 2009 in Statesville, Iredell Co., NC. OBIT: Mary Beard Randall, 79, of Claremont, passed away Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009, at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville. She was born April 2, 1929, in Catawba County to the late Paul Lowell Beard and Annie Mae Jenkins Beard. She was a lifelong member of Mays Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Randall is survived by her husband of 62 years, James Randall; daughters, Alice Campbell and husband, Tommy, of Statesville and Gail Daigler and husband, Mike, of Claremont; son, Jimmy Randall and wife, Bobbie, of Newton; grandchildren, Crystal Abee and husband, Ron, Jimmy Randall Jr. and wife, Carissa, Jamie Clements and wife, Cindy, Brad Clements and wife, Angel, Brian Daigler and wife, Emily, and Natalie Rees and husband, Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Matthew Abee, Kurtis Pittman, Brooke Randall, Jonathan Clements, Hope Clements, Jacob Clements, Josh Clements, Justin Clements, Katie Clements, Haley Clements, Christopher Clements, Zachary Daigler, Emily Rees and Nathan Rees; and a sister, Lib Rozzelle of Mountain View. A service of remembrance will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at Mays Chapel United Methodist Church in Maiden, with the Rev. Ralph J. Lepley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m,. prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Randall Jr,. Jamie Clements, Brad Clements, Brian Daigler, Jeremy Rees and Jonathan Clements. Memorials may be made to Mays Chapel United Methodist Church, 1707 Mays Chapel Church Road, Maiden, N.C. 28650.
