Johnston St., Stanley, N.C., died November 23, 2008 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Lincoln Co., the son of Clarence Franklin Beard Sr. and Peggy Huss Beard of Lincolnton. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Bertie Huss and Emmitt and Anna Beard. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Bonnie Cort Beard of Stanley; son, Taylor Beard and fianc? Hannah of Vale; stepdaughter, Jennifer Rikard and fianc? Lee of Gastonia; stepson, Joshua Rikard of Raleigh; brothers, Todd Beard and wife Marla of Lincolnton, Marty Beard and wife Lisa of Lincolnton, Chad Beard and wife Catie of Lincolnton. His funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today, November 26 at Harvest Time Church of God with Rev. Tim McCarn and Rev. Mike Devine officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Gardens. The family received friends from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24 at Harvest Time Church of God.
