David died November 18, 2011 in Winston-Salem, Forsyth Co., NC. OBIT: David Delano Dinkins Mar. 19, 1934 ~ Nov. 18, 2011 Mr. David Delano Dinkins, 77, passed away Friday, November 18, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Dinkins was born March 19, 1934 in Yadkin County to William and Mary Ball Dinkins. He was a veteran of the US Army. Mr. Dinkins is survived by his loving wife, Kay Dinkins; a son, William Michael Dinkins; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; four step sons, Richard (Mary) Bost, Nathan (Kathy) Sapp, Brian Sapp, and Stephen Sapp; one step daughter, Sheila Lewis; a brother, Robert (Jean) Dinkins; a special cousin, Morris (Jackie) Disher; a very special caregiver, Lenora Combs; and special friends, Heather Hall; a nephew, Robert Dinkins of Aventura FL.; a niece, Alison (Frank J.) Malloy; and great niece, May Rose Malloy of Fairfax, VA. A Funeral Service will be conducted Monday, November 21, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Hale and Bro. Cliff Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery with full military honors provided by VFW Post #10346. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 2725 Old Hwy 421 Yadkinville, NC 27055. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the one who loved and helped with the care of Mr. Dinkins, Lenora Combs
