Myrtle died May 29, 2006 in Plainview, Hale Co., TX. OBIT: Myrtle "Danny" Mann, 101, died Thursday, May 25, 2006.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Travis Hart officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mann was born June 7, 1904, in Cook County to Lee Morris and Margaret Simons Morris. She married Robert C. Daniel in 1922 and had five wonderful children. They moved to the Hale County area in 1924. They farmed for a brief time around the Halfway area, then later moved to town to continue raising their family. She continued her education to become an LVN and worked at the Plainview hospital for approximately 15 years. Robert preceded her in death in 1964. Myrtle then married Frank Bain in 1967, and he preceded her in death in 1975. Later she married Harry Mann in 1977, and he preceded her in death in 1992.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Morris Daniel; a daughter, Marty Smith; two brothers, R.L. Morris and Charlie Morris; and three sisters, Zula Tucker, Pearl West and Janie Brownd.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Daniel of Amarillo and Troy Daniel of Brownwood; a daughter, Dixie Gold of Plainview; a sister, Frankie Hunter of Amarillo; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She married three times. She married Robert Calvin Daniel 1922. Robert was born January 20, 1900 in TX. Robert died May 1, 1964 in Levelland, Hockley Co., TX. She married Frank Bain 1967. Frank died 1975. She married Harry Mann 1977. Harry died 1992.
