She married George Bayard Snelling. George was born 1922. George was the son of John McLucius Snelling and Irma Louise Starnes. George died December 29, 2001. OBIT: Mr. George B. Snelling, 80, died Saturday, December 29, 2001 at the University Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife the late, Mrs. Mary L. Allgood Snelling, and was also preceded in death by a son, the late, George B. Snelling Jr. He is survived by one son, Donald Snelling of Grovetown; two sisters, Mary S. Byrd and Betty S. Frank, both of Augusta; three grandsons, Bradley Snelling of Charleston, and Jonathan Snelling of Prattville, Ala., and Josh Snelling of Aiken; two granddaughters, Jocelyn Snelling of Charlotte, N.C., and Holly Patterson of Martinez; and two great grandchildren. Mr. Snelling was a native of Augusta and had retired as a supply specialist at Fort Gordon. He was a Navy veteran having served during WWII. Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside on Wednesday, January 2, 2002, at 1 p.m. at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. H.K. McKnight officiating
