She married James Edward Chapman February 4, 1918 in Mecklenburg Co, VA. James was born March 25,1896 in Mecklenberg Co., VA. James was the son of John James Chapman and Hettie Sue Reese. James died January 6, 1951 in Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania Co., VA.
