He married Martha Nette Wynn November 26, 1937 in Boydton, Mecklenburg Co, VA. Martha was born July 22,1916. Martha died February 17, 2015 in Boydton, Mecklenburg Co, VA. OBIT: Martha Wynn Allgood, age 98, of Boydton, died February 17, 2015. She was a retired employee of Burlington Industries and a member of Christ Chapel Episcopal Church.
She was the widow of Larnie Allgood and is survived by her sons, Larnie C. Allgood Jr. and wife, Rachel of Mechanicsville; Charles Monroe Allgood, Sr. and wife, Rebecca of Boydton; daughter, Grace Rebecca Allgood of Richmond; grandchildren, Teresa Herndon of King William, Richard Allgood of Mechanicsville, Charles Monroe Allgood, Jr. of Minneapolis, MN, Lisa Allgood Brakefield of Bracey, Jeffrey Allgood of Richmond; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
Services were held Friday at Wood Funeral Chapel. Interment followed in Boydton Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
