Georgia Lucille Ann Hicks and Robert Earl Peyton had the following children:

38669 ii. Patricia Lou Peyton was born in Alexandria, Fairfax Co., VA February 14,1953. Patricia died September 30, 2010 in Manns Harbor, Dare Co., NC. OBIT: Patricia Lou Sawyer, 57, of Mashoes died Thursday, Sept. 30.

Born in Alexandria, Va., she was the daughter of the late Lucille Anne and Robert Earl Peyton and the widow of Ernest Leigh Sawyer. She also was predeceased by a brother, William F. Wade, and a nephew, David Lee Clatterbuck. She was a hard worker and was employed over the years as a waitress, a heavy-equipment operator, a fisherwoman, and a semi-truck driver.

Surviving are her sons, Jason Peyton and wife Larri, and Robert Sawyer and wife Christine; two grandchildren, Madison Leigh Sawyer and Colby Robert Sawyer; three sisters, Pamela Smith and husband Hunter of Warrenton, Va., Mary Bayliss and husband Bruce of Little Orleans, Maryland, and Robin Davis and husband Bob of Mashoes; many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews and countless friends.

The family held a private memorial service in Wanchese on Oct. 3. Arrangements for a memorial service are pending.

She married Ernest Leigh Sawyer.

Ernest was born February 19, 1950 in Wanchese, Dare Co., NC. Ernest died February 20, 2008 in Mashoes, NC. OBIT:Ernest Leigh Sawyer, 58, of Manns Harbor, died Wednesday Feb. 20 in Nags Head after a valiant battle with cancer.

A native of Dare County, he was the son of the late Pluman Elmer and Lovie Ellen Sawyer. He was a lifelong commercial fisherman and owned his own fishing boat for many years with his wife Patricia fishing by his side. Besides fishing, he enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by five sisters, Hazel George, Stella Clutts, Ruby Scarborough, Betty Rae Rogers, and Barbara Chambers, and two brothers, Lockwood Sawyer and Elmer Sawyer.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Lou Sawyer of the residence; two sons, Robert Leigh Sawyer and wife Christine and Paul Jason Peyton, all of Manteo; two sisters, Linda McPherson, and Goldie Brown; one brother, Tony Sawyer; two grandchildren, Madison Sawyer and Colby Sawyer; and many dear friends.

The family received friends at the Wanchese Ministries building Monday, Feb. 25. A celebration of his life will be held at a future date.

38670 iii. William Frederick Wade II was born in Washington, DC May 13,1951. William died March 19, 2007 in Manns Harbor, Dare Co., NC. OBIT: William Frederick "Billy" Wade II, 55, of Mashoes in Manns Harbor died Monday, March 19 in Chesapeake General Hospital. Mr. Wade was born May 13, 1951 in Washington, DC, the son of Robert Earl "Bugs" and Lucille Hicks Peyton. He was a 1969 graduate of Fauquier High School in Warrenton, VA, was a carpenter & a mason. He is survived by four sisters: Pamela Smith & husband Hunter, of Warrenton; Patricia Sawyer & husband Ernest, of Mashoes; Robin Davis & husband Bob, of Mashoes & Mary Bayliss & husband Bruce, of Little Orleans, MD; 5 nieces, 5 nephews, 11 great-nieces & 3 great-nephews. A private service will be held.
