Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at East Tennessee Health Care. Member of Tellico Masonic Lodge #80. Retired from Alcoa Aluminum Co. after 40+ years. A well known farmer. Survivors, wife, Margie Smith Best, Daughter, Debbie Bryant, Athens, Sons & daughters-in-law, Allen & LaVena Best, Tim Best, all of Madisonville, Benny & Angie Best, Tellico Plains, Granddaughter, Betsy Best, Sister, Zella Mae O'Dell, Madisonville, Several nieces & nephews. Funeral 8 P.M. Thursday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Bill White officiating. Interment 11 A.M. Friday, Haven Hill Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Thursday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
He married twice. He married Jena Kate Atkins May 22, 1952 in McMinn Co, TN. He married Margie Sue Smith April 16, 1955 in McMinn Co, TN. Margie was born January 17,1932. Margie was the daughter of Earl H Smith and Rosie Brannon. Margie died February 22, 2017.
