Billy died Jjuly 19, 2015 in Roseburg, Douglas Co., OR. OBIT Billy “Bill” Allgood, age 83, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015, in Roseburg, Oregon, after a lengthy illness.
Bill was born in Duncan, Oklahoma, on April 16, 1932, to Ella Mae and Will Allgood. Bill served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
On November 15, 1952, in Seaside, California, Bill married the love of his life, Arlene. He then continued his education and graduated with a Masters Degree in Education and was a high school teacher and taught wood shop for the next twenty years. Bill was a skilled craftsman and built beautiful custom homes.
Bill & Arlene raised their three sons in San Jose, CA, before retiring and moving to Roseburg, in 1993. Bill was a Christian man and practiced his faith at the Vine Street Baptist Church. He was a proud family man and enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed traveling in their fifth wheel with their friends, fishing, and working around their home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Earl; sisters Leona, Johnie, Geneva, and Leo; his son David; and great-granddaughter Cheyenne.
He is survived by his wife Arlene; sons Doug and Dennis of Roseburg; brothers Kenneth and Cherry; grandchildren Heather, David, Richard, Steven, Tyrell, Andrew, Samantha, and Justin: many great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.
Graveside service will be held at the VA National Cemetery in Roseburg on Monday, July 27, 2015, at 10 a.m.
He married Arlene Laverne Kuhn November 15, 1952 in San Jose, Santa Clara, CA. Arlene was born August 8, 1933 in Salem, Marion Co., OR. Arlene died August 17, 2017 in Roseburg, Douglas Co., OR.
Billy Keith Allgood and Arlene Laverne Kuhn had the following children:
