Barbara June⁹ Mundy (Warren Clay⁸, Minnie G.⁷ Allgood, Henry Clay⁶, John Young⁵, William A.⁴, John Young³, William² Algood, Edward¹ Allgood) was born in Atlanta Fultton Co., GA February 7, 1933. Barbara died Jujly 4, 2013 in Rome, Floyd Co., GA. OBIT Mrs. Barbara June Mundy Blankenship Campbell, age 80, of 5755 Cave Spring Road, Cave Spring, died unexpectedly Thursday morning, July 4, 2013, in a Rome hospital following a sudden attack suffered earlier at her residence. Mrs. Campbell was born in Atlanta , Georgia February 7, 1933, daughter of the late Warren Clay Mundy, Sr., and the late Irene Greenway Mundy. Mrs. Campbell was a graduate of the University of Florida, where she received a Master’s degree in Medical Technology. She had made her home in Floyd County since 1955 where she was associated with Floyd Hospital, Floyd Junior College, and prior to her retirement in 1990, Redmond Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Campbell was a member of the Cave Spring United Methodist Church. Besides her parents, Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her son, Homer A. Blankenship, Jr. on March 17, 2013. Mrs. Campbell is survived by her husband of 37 years, Joe Bill Campbell, to whom she was married January 31, 1976; and by two daughters, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Bass Justice and her husband Gene of Dallas, Georgia, and by Mrs. Barbara Jean Blankenship Dobbs and her husband Randy of Rome. Five grandchildren, Beth Justice, Corey Blalock, Nikki Vaughn, Alex Blankenship and Alicia Blankenship, and Mrs. Campbell’s brother, Warren Clay Mundy, Jr., also survive. Memorial services for Mrs. Campbell were held Friday evening, July 12, 2013, at 6:00 P. M. at the Cave Spring United Methodist Church with Dr. John Page and Rev. Frank Norris officiating. The family received friends in the fellowship hall after the service. Mrs. Campbell’s ashes were entered in the family lot of the Rose Hill Cemetery in Rockmart at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to either the Emory School of Medicine or to the Cave Spring United Methodist Church.

She married twice. She married Homer Arthur Blankenship.

Barbara June Mundy and Homer Arthur Blankenship had the following children:
