23447 iii. James Allen Bechtel was born in Arbyrd, Dunklin Co., MO February 28;,1928. James died April 7, 2006 in Winfield, Llincoln Co., MO. OBIT: Son of the late William and Evaline Jones Bechtel. Brother to Luveda Blanton, Joe Bechtel, and Junior Bechtel "J" was deaf since the age of 4 due to an illness. He graduated from The Missouri School for the Deaf in Fulton. He lived his last 15 years in Winfield, MO. where he spent his time volunteering at WINCO Senior Center. "J" enjoyed a good meal and was company at the holidays of his family, where he would visit and watch TV. He told stories of driving a horse drawn plow ,tilling the ground in a south-east Missouri farm. He also told stories of picking cotton as a boy. "J" had a love for his small dog and two cats He married Virda Bernice Neeley Jujly 28,1954 in Dexter, Stoddard Co., MO.

Virda was born April 18, 1929. Virda was the daughter of Gene Neeley and Virgie Lents. Virda died May 1978 in Holcomb Dunklin Co., MO.

23448 iv. Joe Wayne Bechtel was born April 14, 1931. Joe died August 10, 2001.
