General Notes: Drury Buchman Breazeale was born in South Carolina about 1775. Mary Anna was born in France in 1775 (+ or -). They were married about 1799. They moved from S.C. to Georgia about 1819 where their last child B.J. Breazeale was born. Then sometime after 1820 the family moved to Green County, Ala., but on the way Drury Buchman Breazeale died, because the 1830 U.S. Census for Green Co., Ala. shows only Anna (who is about 54 years of age) and 3 females and 2 males. James A., Elijah, and their families lived on the next farms. Anna died after 1850.
Sometime after 1838, Elijah B., Jefferson B., and B.J. Breazeale, with their families moved to Mississippi. They lived in Kemper County, Miss in 1850, then moved to Neshoba County, Miss before 1860 because I have found them in 1860 in Neshoba County, Miss., Beat #5, which is the N.W. corner of Neshoba Co.
These families all grew up either in southwest Winston Co., Miss., southeast Attala Co., Miss., or northwest Neshoba Co., Miss. There are many descendants living in these three counties today and many more buried in their cemeteries.

We must assume that he moved to Alabama along with his brother Drury Buchman Breazeale and family. Some stories say they moved to Tuscaloosa County, Ala. in 1818, then moved on to Dallas County, Ala. in 1820. John lived and reared his family here in Dallas Co., where some descendants live today. A will filed in 1845 by Abner McMillan listed his heir as Drury McMillan, Daniel McMillan, Malinda McMillan, Nancy McMillan, wife of Akin Breazeale, Millie McMillan, wife of James Hudson, the children of
Susannah (Susan) McMillan, wife of John Blocker Breazeale.
Then in 1844, a will for the estate of Susan Breazeale was filed listing the heirs as Absolum David Breazeale, Drury W. Breazeale, Sarah Ann Matilda Breazeale, Mary B. Breazeale, Francis M. Breazeale, Daniel M. Breazeale, Nancy E. Breazeale, Isaac W. Breazeale, and Elizabeth Breazeale, wife of Milton Parish. There was no mention of James Breazeale, Susan's first child. He could have died earlier.

General Notes: In 1850, Henry Willis and family are in Roane Co, TN. After his father's death, they moved to Denton County, Texas. They are listed in the Denton County census in 1860. They are living next to Joshua and Helina Selby. The Selby's son, George, would later marry Henry Willis's granddaughter Mary Jane (daughter of John and Rosannah Lemons Breazeale).
Henry married a much younger woman within months after his first wife's death in 1859. There is no record of this marriage. More than likely, they were married in Denton County, but those records burned in 1875. However, Jane, his wife, filed a petition in the Cook County court in March 1868, stating she was his legal wife and entitled by community property to his estate.
In the 1860 census, there are 5 Hunt children living with Henry and Jane along with 3 of his children by his first marriage. We do not know the relationship of these Hunt children to Henry and Jane. However after his death, in April 1868, Jane filed for guardianship of the 4 youngest Hunt children in Cooke county. She represented that they had no legal guardian and she should be named as such as executor of the estate from their grandfather Thomas Hunt.
