He married Betty Jean Cagle January 11, 1950. Betty was born February 20, 1934 in Parkin, AR. Betty was the daughter of Willie Edward Cagle and Mary Lucille Bounds. Betty died February 12, 1999 in Bloomington, Monroe Co., IN. Betty is buried in the Hudson Hill Cemetery.
