He married Burnis M. Maynard 1937. Burnis was born June 21, 1918 in Granite, OK. Burnis was the daughter of Venon E. Maynard and Myrtle M. Carter. Burnis died September 19, 2014 in San Diego Co. CA. OBIT: Eldest of 11 children, Burnis passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 19th. She was a loving wife, parent, grandparent and aunt. Born in Granite, Okla., to Vernor and Mattie Maynard, she was the longest-surviving of her siblings. Burnis Maynard married Boyce Palmer in 1937, and they had two children, Patricia and Steven. Boyce was employed with the Southern Pacific railroad, and they lived all over the west: San Francisco, El Paso, Los Angeles, El Centro, and San Diego. She was an active member of her congregation, Canyon View Church of Christ, and loved to knit, crochet, and prepare far too much good food for dinner with her family. She is survived by her daughter Patricia and son-in-law Donald Stall of San Diego; her son Steven and her daughter-in-law Linda Palmer of San Diego; her grandson Robert and granddaughter-in-law Michelle Palmer of San Diego; her niece Desiree and nephew-in-law Danne Peterson of Poway, their children Benjamin, Kathy, and Andrew; nephew Kenneth and niece-in-law Judy Schindler of Forks, Wash.; and her niece Terry Jaramillo of Salinas, Calif. At her request, no services will be held. -
