Emogene died May 27, 2003 in Sanger, Fresno Co., CA.

OBIT: Emogene Opal Reed, daughter of the late Otis and Pearley Wake, was born Sept.. 25, 1924, in Missouri. She died May 27, 2003, in Sanger, Calif. at the age of 78 years, eight months and two days. Survivors include sons, John Reed and wife, Jane, of Fresno, Calif., Larry Reed and wife, Kim, of Sanger, Calif. and Kenneth Reed of Fresno, Calif.; brothers, Estel Wake, Arlin Wake, Gardner Wake, Guy Wake and Johnny Wake, all of Missouri; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Helen Reed; brothers, Buster and Vaude Wake; and her father and mother. Services were Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at Little Zion Church beginning at 2 p.m. with David Lovan officiating. Burial was in Little Zion Cemetery under the direction of Willow Funeral Home.

Emogene Opal Wake and Johnny Reed had the following children:
