OBIT: Kenneth "KO" Phillips, 81, died at the Illinois Veterans Home in Anna, on Sunday, June 20, 1999. Services will be held Tuesday, June 22, at 1 p.m. in the Gilbert Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry Aken officiating. Burial will be in the Mulkeytown Cemetery. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Tuesday until time of service at the funeral home. Mr. Phillips was born on Feb. 16, 1918, in Christopher, the son of Charles and Minerva Lang (Phillips). He was an antique dealer and a retired World War II veteran of the Air Force. He is survived by a brother, Bill Phillips and wife Shirley of Burns, Oregon, Pat "Bud" Phillips of Christopher; a sister, Ethel Lee and husband Charles Baul of Houston, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Helen Phillips of Markham, Jean Ann Phillips of Du Quoin; several nieces and nephews. Six brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death
