John died September 12, 2008 in Saint Ann, Saint Louis Co., MO. OBIT: John Owen Rioch Of St. Ann, MO (formerly of Dixon, MO) passed away peacefully and went home to God on September 12, 2008 after a long battle with illness.
He was retired but had been a welder and mechanic for most of his career. He was drafted into the US Army in 1953 and served for 2 years in Korea.
He is survived by his ex-wife and good friend, Joyce Rich, his oldest daughter, Kathleen Mathis, son John D. Rich (Dawn), and youngest daughter Lorie El Atlassi (Salah-Eddine). He also leaves behind many, many friends and other relatives that will miss him greatly.
John was a most kind and caring husband, father, and father-in-law. He was always willing to help anyone in need. John also had a great sense of humor and brought much laughter to the lives of his friends and family. He lived life to the fullest and instilled wisdom into his children that they can pass down through the generations. John will never be forgotten by those who have been touched by him.
