William died February 24, 2012 in Guntersville, Marshall Co., AL. OBIT: William H. Denman, 88 of Guntersville, AL, died Friday, February 24, 2012 at Marshall Medical North in Guntersville, AL. Graveside services will be held at 10 am, on Monday, February 27, 2012 at Adams United Methodist Church Cemetery in the Auburn community. Brookhaven Funeral Home, Brookhaven, is in charge of arrangements. William was a WWII Veteran and a Shriner. He was a sales representative for American Oil Company. He is preceded in death by his parents William Colden and Hughetta Bridges Denman; wife, Nellie Calcote Denman; daughter, Ruth Ann Denman; brother, Walter Denman. Mr. Denman is survived by his son and daughter in law, Bill & Jenay Denman of Atlanta, GA; daughters and son in laws, Janet & John Langley of Guntersville, AL; Nancy & Dean Carter of Madison, AL. and grandchildren, Kate & Stewart White, Martha Langley, Will Carruth, Jim Carruth, Amy & Steve Recinos; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Nellie Calcote and William (Bill) Hugh Derman had the following children:

 41914 iii. Ruth Ann Derman was born in Tupelo, Lee Co., MS June 12, 1957. Ruth died September 8, 2007 in Crossville, Dekalb Co., AL. OBIT: Ann Denman, 50, of Crossville, Ala., died there Sept. 8, 2007, at Crossville Health Care.

Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive in Brookhaven. Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Adams United Methodist Church in Smithdale. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Miss Denman was born June 12, 1957, in Tupelo. She was the daughter of William H. Denman of Guntersville, Ala., and the late Nellie Calcote Denman. She was a member of the Methodist faith and was disabled. Miss Denman is survived by her father; a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Jenay Denman of Atlanta; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Dean Carter of Madison, Ala., and Janet and John Langley of Guntersville; three nieces and two nephews.
