Lois died January 20, 1991 in Houston, Harris Co, TX. OBIT Lois Ellen Smith Curry, 65, of Winnsboro and formerly of LaSalle, died at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 1991, at the M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas.
She was a retired office employee and member of Temple Baptist Church in Winnsboro.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at the chapel of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Swimmer officiating.
Interment followed at Pine Grove Cemetery of Rhinehart with local arrangements by Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.
Survivors include one son, Dale Curry of Austin, Texas; a brother, Milton Smith of Jena; three sisters, Annie Smith and Eunice Mashon, both of Winnsboro and Florence Clark of Vidalia; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She married Edward Hess Curry JR. Edward was born January 10,1 930 in Winnsboro, Franklin Parrish, LA. Edward was the son of Edward Hess Crurry and Reba (__). Edward died September 25, 1989 in Alexandria, Rapides Parrish, LA. PBOT" Mr. Edward Curry died at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria. He was 59. A native and resident of Winnsboro, he was a retired bail bondsman and insurance agent. He was a U.S. Marine and a veteran of the Korean conflict, having received the Silver Star. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lois S. Curry, Winnsboro; a son, Dale Hester Curry, Austin, Texas; and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Mosley, Fort Smith, Ark.
