Susie died August 21,1997 in Rapides Parish, LA. OBIT: Susie Clark Mercer, 58, of Pineville, died Thursday, August 21, 1997, at her residence. She was a human resource personnel manager at Louisiana Community Care and a member of Kingsville Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star. Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23 in Kingsville Baptist Church of Pineville with Rev. Jim Spencer officiating. Interment followed in Greenwood Memorial Park of Pineville under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Pineville. Survivors include three sons, Gary Mercer and Don Mercer, both of Pineville; and Ronnie Mercer of West Monroe; one brother, Louis Clark of Alexandria; seven sisters, Ruby Kitterlin, Bell Doughty, Ethel Neal, Sybil McFarlen and Edith Clark, all of Jena, Mattie McKay of Pineville and Alice Malone of Lincoln Park, Mich.; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
