Billy died December 2, 2003 in Matthews, LA. OBIT: Services for Billy Ray Smith of Mathews, La., are 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 4, at Samart Funeral Home in Raceland, La., with burial in Holy Savior Cemetery in Lockport, La. Visitation is Wednesday from 5-9 p.m., and Thursday from 8-11 a.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith, 68, died Dec. 2, 2003. He was born on May 18, 1935. He was a native of Brookhaven.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Virgil and Ruby Allgood Smith.

Survivors are his

wife, Betty Smith; his daughter, Cynthia Dixon; his son, Billy Mitchell Smith; his brother, Huey Smith; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Billy Ray Smith and Betty Jane Case had the following children:
