He married Edna Kelly. Edna was born January 9, 1929 in Cairo, TX. Edna was the daughter of Edward Clemons Kelly and Mary Ann Pine. Edna died October 1, 2003 in McComb, Pike Co., MS. OBIT: Edna Kelley Smith, 74, a lifelong resident of McComb, died Oct. 1, 2003, at her residence.Visitation is 5 to 8 tonight at Catchings Funeral Home in McComb. Visitation continues at 9 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in McComb, until services there at 10 a.m. Dr. Mack Amis will officiate. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery. Mrs. Smith was born Jan 9, 1929, in Cairo, Texas. She was the daughter of Ed Kelley and Mary Pine Kelley Waller.She was a retired beautician having worked at Southwest Extended Care and Beverly Health Care in McComb for more than 20 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in McComb where she was very active in many church organizations and activities including the Eloise Hunter Sunday School Class. She was a graduate of McComb High School and attended Southwest Junior College.Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Vince Waller; and her husband, Proby Smith. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Sandra Smith of Pinehurst, N.C., and Scott and Christy Smith of Hattiesburg; two daughters and one son-in-law, Judy S. Koslow and Jack of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Susie S. Holladay of Hattiesburg; one sister, Frances Pauline Berard of New Orleans; five grandchildren, Adam Smith of Pinehurst, Wendy Jones and her husband Clayton of Ft. Worth, Haley Easley and his wife Barra of Greenwood, Sam Easley of Savannah, Ga., and Jennifer Holladay of Hattiesburg; and three great-grandchildren, Annabelle Jones and Ryan Jones, both of Ft. Worth, and Maddi Adams of Pinehurst; and many friends.

Proby Lee Smith and Edna Kelly had the following children:
