Grafton died May 26, 2007 in Lakewood, WA. OBIT: Grafton T. Smith, of Lakewood, Wash., died Saturday, May 26, 2007, at his residence. _

Mr. Smith, 84, was born in Lincoln County to Coney Travis Smith and Timmie Smith. He attended Heuck's Retreat High School and worked with the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served his country during World War II. He retired from the U.S. Army and the Civil Service, and was disabled.

He was a member of the Baptist faith. Preceding him in death were his parents; his sisters, Lorene Furlow and Geraldine McGraw; and his brother, Billie Smith. Survivors are his wife, Linda K. Smith, of Lakewood; his brothers, A.J. Smith, of Brookhaven, and Jimmy Smith, of Wesson; his sisters, Sarah Smith, of Brookhaven, and Flo Massey, of Sour Lake, Texas; and his nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Grafton T. Smith had the following children:
