Elaine died December 10, 2007 in Monroe Ouachita Parish, LA. OBIT: Elaine W. DeCuir, 75, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at St. Francis North Hospital in Monroe, following a brief illness. Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe with Rev. Will Sheffield officiating. Arrangements were by Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Visitation was Thursday evening. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, George Lee DeCuir; daughters, Nancy D. Jones and Carolyn R. DeCuir, sister-in-law Cora Mae Metcalf; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sida Walker Sr. and Nancy Bowman Walker; brothers, Denver Lee Walker and Sida Walker Jr.; and sister, Edith W. Lolley. Memorials may be made to the Ouachita Parish Public Library or the River Cities Humane Society for Cats.
