Ranzie died June 24, 2013 in Brookhaven, Lincoln Co., MS. OBIT: Funeral services for Ranzie Randall Smith of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, at Brookhaven Funeral Home, Natchez Drive location, with burial in Fair River Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Smith, 65, died June 24, 2013 at King's Daughters Medical Center.
He enjoyed fishing in his dad's 16 catfish ponds and also, hunting. His CB handle was "Coffee Grinder" due to his love for a good cup of coffee.
Mr. Smith drove a log truck for H. R. Smith Logging Co. for 25-plus years and was employed as a truck driver for Oddee Smith and Sons Construction.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Smith of Brookhaven; and his brothers, Huey Ray Smith and Gary Thomas Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Smith; his two sons, Chance Smith of Brookhaven and Chris Smith and wife, Delina, of Brookhaven; his grandchildren, Kasi and Brody Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ranzie Randall Smith and Diane Dickerson had the following children:
