James died March 20, 2012 in Lubbock Co., TX. OBIT: Alan Allgood, of Lubbock, died March 20, 2012. Alan was born in Brownwood on May 2, 1947. He is survived by his loving wife, Anita; his son, Sean Allgood with wife Beth of Houston, Texas; his daughter, Heather Allgood Landsman of Lubbock; his mother, Sue Allgood of Georgetown, Texas; his sister, Susan Adkins with husband Carvin; his sister, Jayna Coppedge and husband Steve of Tahlequah, Okla.; sister, Judy Lester and husband Len of Georgetown, Texas; as well as his five grandchildren, Chris, Candice, Michael, Hannah and Kyler. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday March 31, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Covenant of Life Fellowship 730 Hwy 62/82 in Wolfforth, Texas. Please join the family as they celebrate the life and love of Alan Allgood. Alan was a 1965 graduate of Permian High School in Odessa, Texas. He and wife Anita were married April 9, 1966 in Odessa. He and his wife moved to Lubbock in 1972. Alan worked for the Avalanche Journal for 17 years before retiring. Alan was active in his community and church. The family would l ike to thank the nurses and staff of Beyond Faith and Hospice of Lubbock for the physical care and emotional support during the last days of Alan's life. Donations can be made in memory of Alan to Hospice of Lubbock.
