Elizabeth died October 4, 2006 in Maiden, Catawba Co., NC. OBIT: Elizabeth Ann Greer, 58, of West Main Street, Maiden, died Oct. 4, 2006, at Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley. Born Nov. 26, 1947, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of Carl H. "Cotton" Watts and Dorothy "Dot" Beard Watts of Conover. She was employed by the N.C. Department of Transportation as an office manager and was a graduate of Maiden High School. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carla Ann Withers. Survivors include two sons, Brad Withers of Lincolnton and Greg Withers of Maiden; her parents, Carl and Dot Watts of Conover; a brother, Terry Watts of Conover; her companion, Charles E. Davis of the home; and three grandchildren, Willie Withers, Haley Withers and Scarlet Ann Withers. A cryptside service will be conducted by the Rev. Harvey Gates at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006, at Catawba Memorial Park. Entombment will be in Catawba Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will be at Goodin-Drum Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 tonight, Friday, Oct. 6, 2006.
