Eugene¹⁰ Secuskie (William Carlie⁹, Nancy Lee (Nannie)⁸ Allgood, David Henry⁷, Manley H.⁶, John⁵, Ishmael⁴, Edward³, William², Edward¹ Algood) was born in Bradenton, Manatee Co., FL November 24, 1931. Eugene died June 8, 1999 in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY. OBIT: Eugene Secuskie, age 67, of Guston, died Tuesday, June 8, 1999, at Norton's Medical Pavilion in Louis­ville, following a lengthy illness. Born November 24, 1931 in Bradenton, Florida, Mr. Secuskie was a son of the late Carl Secuskie and Mattie Elliott. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, a Merchant Marine, a farmer, a member of the Custer Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Brandenburg United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Misako "Dora" Secuskie; one daughter, Belinda Miller, Orlando, Florida; three stepdaughters, Mary M. Powell and Martha M. Shoptaugh, Louis­ville, and Geraldine M. Cole, Anchorage, Alaska; a sister, Margaret Thompson, Brandenburg, and four grandchildren, Robin Wayne, Guston, Skye Powell, Nikki Shoptaugh and J.W. Shoptaugh, Louisville.

The body was cremated. A memorial service was held Friday, June 11, from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home, Irvington, with the Rev. Bob Cordle officiating. The cremains were placed in Custer Cemeter

He married twice. He married Marilyn D Goff. He married Misako A. (Dora) McCune May 18, 1999 in Meade Co., KY. Misako was born July 25, 1926. Misako died February 7, 2011 in Elizabethtown, Hardin Co., KY. OBIT: Misako “Dora” McCune Secuskie, 90, of Guston, passed away Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

She was a homemaker, farmer and a wonderful mother and grandmother.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary “Mitzi” (John) Powell, Geraldine “Jerry” Cole and Martha McCune; four grandchildren, Skye Powell, Robin (Scott) Lusk and Nikki and J.W. Shoptaugh; a great-granddaughter, Hannah Lusk; special friends Mark Young and Mike Snyder; and a sister, Kazuko Ishizaki of Tokyo.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Feb. 12, in the chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home in Brandenburg.

Misako was buried in the Custer Cemetery, Custer, Breckinridge Co., KY
