OBIT: Tamera Kay "Tammy" Cowles, 45, of Amarillo, Texas, formerly of Fort Madison, died at 12:40 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2006, at Odyssey Health Care Center in Amarillo.
Born Sept. 14, 1960, in Fort Madison, she was the daughter of Richard and Lavirda Miller Brown. On Feb. 17, 1979, she married Neal Cowles in Fort Madison.
Mrs. Cowles worked as an educator's assistant for the Amarillo Independent School System. She was a member of Amarillo Fellowship Church.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Neal Cowles II of Little Elm, Texas; one daughter, Tara Gonzalez of Amarillo; one granddaughter; her father and stepmother, Richard and Wanda Brown of Lancaster, Texas; and five brothers, Richie Brown of Amarillo, Philip Brown of Cleburne, Texas, Neal Brown of Canyon, Texas, David Brown of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Buren Turner of Montrose.
She was preceded in death by her mother and one sister.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cowles will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Amarillo Fellowship Church with the Rev. Richard Brown II officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Madison.
