Reeves, 88, of 37 Ash Lane, Washington, died Saturday evening, Dec. 26, 1981 at M ercy Hospital in Iowa city. He had been seriously ill since the last of August. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in Prairie Flower Baptist Church with the Rev . Nick R. Boeke in charge. Burieal will be in Elm Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be given to m issions of the Priarie Flower Church or to the Washington County Cancer Society. Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home after 10 a.m. Tuesday and the family wlil be ther e from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Charles Clifford Reeves was born Dec 11, 1893, on the farm where he lived in Wahsington Co unty until moving to Washington four years ago. He was a son of Thomas C. and Isa A. Deardurf f Reeves. He was raised in this county and attended the Pella Academy. He married Nona W. Gol dsborough Sept 6, 1922 in Fayette County, Ill. Mrs. Reeves was very active in Prarie Flower Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, S unday School techer and superintendent, treasurer, and presently was an honorary deacon. He f armed northwest of Washington until his retirement. He also served as a director of rural schools, and was a veteran of World War I during whi ch he served eight months in France. Surviving are his wife; two daughers, Mrs. Stanly (Maxine) Jarrard of Arkadelphia, Ark., a nd Mrs. ronald (Myrna) Genheimer, a missionar now on furlough from the Republic of South afri ca; eight grandchildren; three great-granchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Clarence (Phyllis) Jarr ard of Washington.
