She married John Ralph Delong. John was born November 28, 1923 in Atlanta, Fulton Co., GA. John died November 26, 2011 in Roswell, Fulton Co., GA. OBIT: John Ralph DeLong, age 87 of Roswell died November 26, 2011.
Born in Atlanta, Mr. DeLong was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served in World War II where he was awarded the Bronze Star and was retired Office Services Manager for Life of Georgia. He also served on the Roswell City Council for 14 years and was a member of Atlanta Street Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Abernathy DeLong.
Mr. DeLong is survived by his children, Denise and Bernard Fitton of Roswell, Jenifer and Michael Pritchett of Cumming and John R. DeLong, Jr. of Roswell; grandchildren, Brooke Bennett, Natalie Dolezal, Patrick Fitton and Joseph Fitton; great grandson, Carter Bennett.
The funeral service will be on Monday, November 28, 2011 at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
Jeanette Abernathy and John Ralph Delong had the following children:
