5776. Mary Ellen⁹ Fitts (Nora Kenneth⁸ Medlin, George Henry⁷, Harriet D.⁶ Allgood, John Bunyan⁵, Moses⁴, Edward³, William², Edward¹ Algood) was born in Vance Co., NC August 24, 1925. Mary died April 29, 2015 in FL. OBIT: GILLIAM, Mary Ellen, went to be with her Lord on April 29, 2015 after a long illness. Mary was born on August 24, 1925 in Henderson, North Carolina. Mary is the mother of Joseph E. Gilliam (deceased) and Evangelist John Thomas Gilliam. She has six grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren, one of which, Hayden Charles Gilliam preceded her in death. Mary was married for 64 years to Eddie Gilliam. They spent many years together serving the Lord as missionaries on the streets of Gatlinburg, TN and Brandon, FL. Mary spoke of her faith in Christ and witnessed to everyone she met about the Lord and His saving grace. She is a member of Providence Baptist Church in Riverview, FL. A Funeral service will be held on May 7, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Riverview Florida. The family will receive guests from 1:30 pm to 2pm. -

She married Joseph Edward (Eddie) Gilliam March 13, 1942 in Portsmouth, Portsmouth Co., VA. Joseph was born February 5, 1922. Joseph was the son of Thomas Gilliam and Ethel Trail. Joseph died November 1, 2006 in FL.

Mary Ellen Fitts and Joseph Edward (Eddie) Gilliam had the following children:

 15142 ii. Joseph Edward Gilliam JR was born April 1, 1944.
