Jesse died April 17, 2005 in Granville Co, NC. OBIT: Jesse Britt Harris, 83, of 4198 Ed Harris Road, died Sunday, April 17, 2005. A native of Vance Co., he was the son of the late Jesse W. and Lula Greenway Harris, widower of Hazel Wright Harris, a retired farmer, a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army, and a member of Peace's Chapel Baptist Church, serving as deacon and trustee. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday from Peace's Chapel Baptist Church by the Rev. Jason Hunter. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors. Surviving are his son, Dennis A. Harris, of Raleigh; his daughters, Wendy H. Finch, of Raleigh, Pam H. Watkins and Shelly H. Noblin, both of Oxford; his brothers, Calvin C. Harris, of Oxford, Joseph E. Harris and Hardie H. Harris, both of Henderson; his sisters, Annie Bell Howard, of Henderson, his seven grandchildren, and his five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Debbie H. Watkins; brothers, William Lee Harris, Bennie L. Harris Sr., George F. Harris, John Ed Harris, Robert H. Harris, Perry T. Harris; a sister, Mary Helen Stanton.
He married Hazel Faulkner Wright. Hazel was born June 21,1933 in NC. Hazel died July 17, 1998 in Oxford, Granville Co., NC.
Jesse Brett Harris and Hazel Faulkner Wright had the following children:
