She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. and Carrie Carter Reamey; a daughter, Hilda Thompson; a grandson Scott Carter; her identical twin sister, Mary Stanley; a sister, Jane Mottley and a brother Calvin Reamey. She is survived by one daughter, one son, a brother and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 3pm, Monday, January 9, 2017 at Mt. Harmony United Methodist Church with interment following in the church cemetery, Keysville. The family received friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home on Sunday, January 8, 2017. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of arrangements.
She married Reginald Ramsey Dixon May 10, 1958 in Chesterfield Co., VA.
