Betty died February 29, 2004 in Terre Haute, Vigo Co., IN. OBIT: Betty Lou Brenton, 74 of Rosedale, died at 12:50 am Sunday February 29, 2004 in Meadows Manor North in Terre Haute.
She was formerly an X-Ray Technician for Dr. Malone?s office in Terre Haute and retired from CBS in Terre Haute.
She was born Sept. 22, 1929 in Terre Haute to the late James DeLong and Edna McMahan DeLong.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lester Brenton on June 8, 1983.
Survivors include one son, Steven Brenton and his wife Carla Brenton of Rosedale; one daughter, Debra Robinson and her husband Whitey Robinson of Clinton; one brother, Ed DeLong of Texas; four grandchildren, Cory Brenton, Dustin Brenton, Matthew Robinson and Michael Robinson; four great-grandchildren Cortney Brenton, Kelsey Brenton, Dustin Denbo and Gaige Brenton.
She was a member of the Rosedale United Methodist Church and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star Rosedale Chapter.
Services are 1:00 pm Tuesday, March 2, 2004 in Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home at Rosedale with Pastor Randy McPike officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in North Terre Haute. Visitation is from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Tuesday in Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home.
She married Lester Beldon (Slick) Brenton. Lester was born July 30, 1921 in Vigo Co., IN. Lester was the son of Beldon Brenton and Cecile B. Brock. Lester died June 8,1983 in Rosedale, Parke Co., IN.
