He married Ella Inez Smitherman. Ella was born December 23, 1916 in Pontotoc, Pontotoc Co., MS. Ella was the daughter of Dave Smitherman and Mary M Gregory. Ella died January 1, 2007 in Pontotoc, Pontotoc Co., MS. OBIT: Ella Inez Clowers, 91, died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007, at Sunshine Health Care in Pontotoc. She was a retired housekeeper at Pontotoc Hospital and a member of Turnpike Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. today at Turnpike Cemetery with the Rev. Pete Gregory officiating. Browning Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Philla Frazier (W.C.) of Pontotoc; three sons, Rayburn Clowers (Debra) of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Maurice Clowers (Carolyn) of Columbus, and Ricky Clowers (Pattie) of Tupelo; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dave Smitherman and Mary Gregory Raines Smitherman, and her husband, Webb Clowers.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. today at the funeral home.
Webster (Webb) Renew Clower and Ella Inez Smitherman had the following children:
