He married Earnestine Harrison. Earnestine was born July 9, 1912 in Montgomery, Grant Parish, LA. Earnestine was the daughter of William Oswald Harrison and Ida Eagan. Earnestine died November 14,1983 in Lufkin, Angelina Co., TX. OBIT: Services for Ernestine Harrison Giddens, 71, of Montgomery were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Hollis officiating. Burial was in Montgomery Cemetery under direction of Lakeview.
Mrs. Giddens died Monday evening, November 14, 1983 in Woodland Heights Hospital, Lufkin, Texas after an automobile accident in Lufkin.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the Home and Garden Club, and the Montgomery Civic Club. She was chairman of Montgomery Cemetery Committee, a member of the Grant Parish Homemaker Council, and chairman of the Community of the Needy.
Survivors include one son, William "Billy" Giddens of Natchitoches; one brother, W. O. Harrison of Montgomery; and four grandchildren.
Oswald Ferris Giddens and Earnestine Harrison had the following children:

36867 ii. Thomas Michael Giddens was born in Hodge, Jackson Parish, LA May 12, 1945. Thomas died October 2, 1982 in Shreveport, Bossier Co., LA.
